Implications of Self-determination theory for the purpose and practice of physical education education

The overall purpose of the symposium is to consider the implications of Self-determination theory for the purpose and practice of physical education. Self-determination theory has shown its value in several research domains such as pedagogy, exercise, psychotherapy and education. Recently, researchers are increasingly successfully applying the principles of this theory to physical education, emphasizing the need to address this topic at the BERA conference.
